a sampling of

Venetian Plaster as Damask Stripes

This picture is worth one thousand words.  Is there a more elegant finish for a jewel box of a Dining Room than classic Damask-like Stripes as realized in beautifully applied Italian Plaster?

ABOVE: The  walls and ceilings radiate elegance in color and style.  The Walls are finished in Italian Plaster with Damask Striping, the gold/green color taken from the window treatment's silk colors.

BELOW: The Ceiling has a perimeter of polished Italian Plaster in leaf green from the Scalamandre seat covers, a painted 'dust of rose' on the larger ceiling area and a bone white circle around the medallion.

It is said that the Dining Room should be the jewel box of the house.  It is in this room where the evening is served up and the impressions are made to be lasting.  In this beautifully finished room the walls themselves look like Jewelry.
