This fabulous ceiling, done by Andre Kouznetsov in the great hallway of a palatial Maryland residence, was completed with applications of: Gold Leaf, painted glazes, faux stone technique, multi-sheened paints and a series of over 25 applications of original stencils to suggest the myriad moldings, architectural boxes and intricate Trompe L' Oeil relief work.  The resulting artistic rendition of a Baroque Italian Cupola gave the massive 26-foot high - 24 feet across -flat surfaced ceiling, the illusion of yet greater height, depth, and as one designer put it,  'a scene stealing presence'.
